Let's try this again ?

After much encouragement from my friend Vicky....I'm going to dip my toes in the waters of Blogland again ! Here we go ! My intent for this blog is a more in depth sharing of my life than Facebook or Instagram allows. Expect lots of words, and hopefully, lots of photos. Once I figure out how this all works ! So, I'll start this off by saying that today will be filled with some errands, breakfast out at one of my favorite breakfast joints, Kitty & dog cuddling, frantic cleaning ( we're having out of town guests on Sat for a short visit ), and if I get a few minutes tonight, some photo editing ! Also, I've started a new book by a new ( to me ) author, and I'm looking forward to immersing myself in her world...for a few minutes anyway ! Slainte' my friends ! QoC. 😺

Easy, like Sunday morning !

After a full day yesterday preparing the house, and food, for our visitors from the North, I slept in until 8 am !! Woo-wee !! Truthfully though, we had a 2 hour nap after our visitors left at 7 pm. So, I probably didn't fall asleep until 12:30, if you want me to be truthful....and I hope you do ! 😹 This morning before I even went downstairs, I hung the clothes I washed Sat night, on the wooden "clothes dryer" , first chore of the day done ! Fed the cats, took the dog outside...cleaned off the swing so I could sit in the morning sun while Jewel rolled in the grass ( her favorite thing to do ). I caught up on my Facebooking, and then Joe came out and joined me. We talked about our plans for the day & disgussed what to have for breakfast....and then got that going. I made a Vanilla Bundt cake while he cooked breakfast. Now that I've scooped the 5 litter boxes and vacuumed...I'll head to Lowes to get some plants for the porch & flower containers 🌸🌸.

Baby, it's cold outside !

Wow, what a beautiful day !! Blue skies, fresh white snow, big puffy white clouds in the sky. Well, yes it is a bit chilly....ok, it's downright cold out there ! Cold, but beautiful, at least the sun is shining, we don't get a lot of that in Michigan in the winter :) I feel bad for the people, and animals too, that have to live outdoors in this weather. Ususally at work we get a lot of calls for shelter resources in this kind of weather, but so far I have only had one. I'm actually surprised because the economy is so bad here in Michigan, and we have been having some really cold days. I will hope that the lack of calls is because the people who would normally call us for the resources, have family that are stepping up and helping out. I am choosing to think positvley about this, yes I am !! Monday evening was my knitting Meet Up, and we had a really good time :).
